"He who has ears to hear. let him hear." Luke 8:8 Jesus spoke in parables, not just because stories are interesting, but in order to get people to really think about what they heard. Stories force us to work hard at listening and understanding. For those who do, Jesus promises insight into "secrets of the kingdom." Our summer series will explore many of Jesus' amazing parables, and we will have the opportunity to be transformed by some of the most powerful stories ever told. "My mother and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice." Luke 8:21
The foundation for this series is Luke 8:1-21 . If you would like to hear a message on this passage go to... Be Careful How You Listen.

We hear the phrase a lot around here: someone has climbed Mt. Hood - "It was a great adventure." New parents aren't getting any sleep - "This is definitely a challenging adventure!" Guys and gals from the youth group come back from a missions trip - "Teaching those kids was an awesome adventure." A family is struggling with loss of income/loss of employment - "We're trusting God, and living the adventure."

We have eleven Care Groups meeting regularly. Our desire is that everyone would get connected through a small group. It's a great place to get to know people, enjoy the fun and fellowship - and to care for and be cared for when those times arise. Check out the specifics of each one under 'groups' - and plan to visit one this week! |
