The Genesis Change Group is a safe place where people, who are willing to risk self discovery and change, come together to learn how to change those behaviors in their lives that they are tired of or are stuck in.
Of course, breaking your leg is not one of life's great trials, especially when compared with what many people have to go through. Still, it does give you an opportunity to reflect and, perhaps, to learn from the event.
It is always interesting to think about what goes through your mind when an accident happens. (For those of you who may not know what I am talking about, here is a brief description: on June 4, I was with five other guys from our church at a ranch in eastern Oregon setting up for one of our "boys into manhood" events. Two of us were riding quads, and I chose to pass, hit a stump, flipped the quad, and broke my leg--"I don't think it is supposed to point in that direction!").
Anyway, as I have reflected on it, I think I can identify four thoughts that came in quick succession during and immediately following the accident:
