WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe the Scriptures - both Old and New Testaments - to be the fully inspired word of God. By this we understand that the Holy Spirit not only inspired the thoughts of the writers, but also formulated the word structure into which the thoughts were cast, making the original documents inerrant as to fact and infallible as to truth (1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
We believe in one Triune God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, eternal in being, identical in nature, equal in power and glory, and having exactly the same attributes and perfections (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
MAN’S CREATION AND FALL
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God. Through Adam’s sin, he became alienated from God, acquired a sin nature, and came under the judicial sentence of death (Genesis 1:25-27; Romans 3:22-23; Ephesians 2:12)

THE PERSON AND WORK OF JESUS CHRIST
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He became a man, without ceasing to be God, through the conception of the Holy Spirit and birth to the Virgin Mary, so that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man.
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross by sacrificing Himself in our place, and that our redemption is made sure to us by His resurrection from the dead (John 1:1-2; Luke 1:35; Romans 3:24-25; 1 Peter 1:3-5).
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is now in Heaven, exalted at the right hand of God where, as High Priest for His people, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor and Advocate for us (Hebrews 9:24, 7:25; Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2).
We believe in the premillenial return of our Lord Jesus Christ and in His kingdom reign upon the earth (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Zechariah 14:4-11; Revelation 20:6).
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead, currently indwells all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, baptizes them into the Body of Christ and seals them until the day of redemption. We believe that God commands every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:13-14, 5:18-20).
We believe that Salvation is the gift of God offered to man by grace. It is received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that faith is manifested in works pleasing to God (Ephesians 2:18-20; Titus 2:11-14). We believe that all true believers, once saved, shall be kept saved forever (Romans 8:1, 38, 39; John 10:27-30; 1 Corinthians 1:4-8).
We believe the Church is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons in this age, regardless of their affiliation with Christian organizations (Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:25-27; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14).
CHURCH ELDER QUALIFICATION
At Meadow Springs Community Church, it is our desire to follow a biblical model of church leadership. The New Testament clearly teaches that local churches are to be led by elders. (I Timothy 3,5; Titus 1; Acts 15, 20.-35; 1 Thessalonians 5:12, 13; Hebrews 13:17, James 5:14; 1 Peter 5:5). Please read these statements concerning how we believe elders are to lead the church.
THE FINAL STATE
We believe the condition and retribution of the lost and the salvation and blessedness of the saved are conscious and everlasting (Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 20:15, 22:3-5, 11).
Meadow Springs Community Church is a non-denominational Christian
church in Portland, Oregon. We are made up of far-from-perfect people
who believe that following Jesus is an adventure to be lived and not a ritual
to be observed. This is a place for those looking to answer their spiritual questions, as well as for those who want to learn and be encouraged in
heir spiritual growth. We believe we are a unique place where God has brought together passionate leaders and gifted people to be Meadow Springs Community Church. We believe that God wants to use this uniqueness to live out the purposes for which He created us.
