Vocal Ministry Opportunities

The Worship Ministry at Meadow Springs Community Church offers a variety of vocal ministry opportunities for those who desire to use their gifts and share their hearts with others.  Listed below are the current opportunities for adults, high school age and older, who love music and desire to use this medium to share the love of Christ with others.

Worship Leadership Vocal Teams

The worship leadership teams are the smaller vocal ensembles that stand up front and assist in leading worship during our weekend service(s) and other events.  A 3-step interview process is required to be a part of these teams.  In addition to musical ability, participants on these teams are also those who demonstrate a passion for worship in the life of the church.  Those interested in becoming a part of these teams can receive a Worship Vocal Team Interview Packet upon request.

Vocal Team Substitutes

This team is designed to offer substitute vocalist(s) for the services when a regular team member cannot attend.  This team provides a great opportunity for anyone who may not be ready for the commitment of a regular team member, but is ready for a smaller role for whatever reason.  Participation in this team does require the 3-step interview process.

Soloist

The soloist teams are comprised of vocalists who have demonstrated the vocal ability and the communication skills to minister to the congregation as a soloist.  It is our desire to use solo opportunities to underscore, and make more effective, various moments in our worship services.  Music reading is not required, but a strong memory is a must.  Being a part of this team requires less rehearsal and less music to learn, however it can also mean sharing your gifts less often.  Worship Vocal Team members can serve as active soloist as well.  The 3-step interview process is required for this team.

Meadow Springs Worship Choir

There is no interview or audition process required for this team.  This team is available for anyone who loves to worship the Lord and desires to be a part of leading others in musical worship.  The choir’s main role is to offer worship leadership in our services and sing in our weekend worship service(s) once a month.  The choir will provide worship leadership by singing during the worship sets, preparing anthems and other special music, and participate in large performance events (such as holidays and other church events) throughout the year.  Building relationships and growing deeper in your understanding of the worship journey are just two of the many benefits of being a part of this team.  More detailed information can be received upon request.

Alternate Ministry Teams/Small Group Worship

From time to time we are looking for worship leaders and vocalists for alternative programs and other ministries.  These times may include helping with our Student and Children Ministries, leading a time of worship for a small group, etc.  This is a great way for individuals to use their musical gifts in some different ways and spend some time developing their leadership skills.  Those who are involved in other vocal ministries are still eligible to participate, but an effort will be made to include those who do not have such roles when the opportunity is appropriate.  These team members will be required to go through the 3-step interview process and/or meet with the appropriate ministry leadership.
