The Parent Coalition...

It’s time for the parents to unite! Raising teens is a combination of pure joy and guerilla warfare! Just when you are enjoying your teenage child, you get ambushed out of nowhere by typical teenage behaviors and comments. You are not alone! So let’s not be alone as we travel this stretch of the adventure…

On Wednesday nights, during Middle School Sojourn meetings, parents of teens and those about to become teens are gathering to tap into the wisdom from Eugene Peterson and each other as we help each other learn how to respond to comments like: “I’ll dress the way I want!” or “You wouldn’t understand” or “You aren’t going to tell me what to do.” Or “I’m not going to church.”

We meet at the church from 7-8:30 pm (same time as the Middle School Sojourn meeting). We are using Eugene Peterson’s book, Like Dew Your Youth, as a starting point for discussing some of the common statements we as hear coming out of the mouths of our teens!

You can join us at any time – each week is a stand alone discussion!

February 22 – Ch. 8: “You’re Nothing But A Hypocrite!”

February 29 – Ch. 9: “I Don’t Know What I Want To Do!”

March 7 – Ch. 10: “Can I Have the Car Tonight?”

March 14 - No Middle School Youth Group

March 21 – Ch. 11: “You Aren’t Going to Tell Me What to Do!”

March 28 – SPRING BREAK – No Middle School Youth Group
