Download your Bible Bookmark using the link to the left and get started right away!
-
Put your name at the top of the Bible Bookmark.
-
There are five (5) short passages on each Bible Bookmark. Read the passage for each day. If you get behind, you can easily catch up on the weekend! What time of the day works best for you to begin this important reading habit? Before school, at bedtime? Try to read your Bible at the same time each day—it will be easier to remember to do it that way.
-
There is one bonus question on each Bible Bookmark. Answer the question on the back of the Bookmark. Be sure to write neatly—we will be trying to read them!
-
Finally, when you have read the verses each day and answered the bonus question, have an adult sign their name somewhere on the Bible Bookmark, to prove that you have completed that week’s Bible Bookmark.
-
Turn in your signed Bible Bookmark during Large Group each Sunday.
-
We will collect all the Bible Bookmarks you turn in during the month. Each Sunday throughout 2011, we will celebrate your success! If you have checked off each reading on your Bible Bookmark for the week, you will get to choose a prize from the Blast Bin in Large Group. At the end of each Month, we will draw one Bible Bookmark out of the Party Hat and the BLAST Reader selected will be given a fantastic gift! The more Bookmarks you read, the more opportunity you have to win the drawing.
Parents
If your child is unable to read by themselves they can still become a Blast Reader with your help. You can read the verses each day to/with them. Some creative ways to help your child read each day might include:
- Read before/after dinner each night.
- Pass the Bible between family members to read aloud.
- Read together over breakfast/lunch/after school/ before bed.
- Keep a Bible in the car with a “book mark reading plan” and have someone read on the way to school.
When they answer the bonus question you will need to write their answers for them on the back of the bookmark. On Sunday be sure the kids bring their completed bookmark with them to BLAST where they will check in with their small group leader.
